The first head and organizer of the department, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Honored Health Worker of the Republic of Uzbekistan. He is one of those who actively participated in the formation of general medical practice as an independent discipline in the country. Under his leadership, new pedagogical technologies were introduced into the educational process, and the department’s staff focused on studying pressing issues of cardiovascular and renal diseases.

Gadayev A.G. is a leading medical specialist in Uzbekistan, who received his education in the schools of famous therapists of Uzbekistan and Russia. He is the author of more than 300 scientific works dedicated to the prevention of cardiovascular and renal diseases, the introduction of new pedagogical technologies in medical universities, as well as books such as Collection of Lectures for General Practitioners, Guide for General Practitioners, Collection of Practical Skills for General Practitioners, Applied Electrocardiography, and textbooks Internal Diseases and Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases.

Under his supervision, a number of doctors and candidates of medical sciences were trained. His students head the departments of the Tashkent Medical Academy.

For his contribution to the development of medicine in the Republic of Uzbekistan, Professor A.G. Gadayev was awarded the badge Excellence in Healthcare in 1999 and in 2007 the title Honored Health Worker of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
